Brew for beginning of summerMay 1, 2011 4:52 pm
Hockey playoffs and NBA playoffs undeway, Baseball firing up, NFL draft, MLS soccer all in action and summer right around the corner. SO gonna recommend Bell's Oberon, and American Wheat Ale. It's got all the wheat, yeast and slight citrus flavor and good body so it transitions from spring to summer well. If you can find it on draft and get a growler do it -- but by the bottle is good as well, justa bit more carbonated. With the Blackhawks out, gotta go with Capitals but watch the Canucks. Fingers crossed the Rockies stay healthy and pitching shapes up. It would be good to see them get back to October ball. Broncos draft finally made some sense, so got hopes there. Cheers all ! Stone Brewing Ruination IPA, Just too expensive..February 9, 2011 11:59 pm
I recently got a 6 pack of Stone Brewing Company's Ruination IPA for $19.00. It's not that I'm completely dissapointed, but its very overpriced. It has a good strong taste, but it lingers forever. You can't get the taste out of your mouth, no matter how hard you try. If your willing to try this beer, try to get one for free before you buy it. Some things in life, are just a little to much to handle. Inc. Category: NFL Draft Tags: IPA
Dead Guy AleJanuary 6, 2011 8:58 am
First, how can you go wrong with a name like Dead Guy Ale? I got a "growler" of this at a store outside Baltimore before Christmas and it was excellent. Perfect for the holidays with a great taste and not too hoppy. Second, with a skeleton on the label you can derive that a good buzz is coming after a few drinks, and I can assure you a nice mellow buzz was on after I'd finished the bottle. If you haven't tried this Ale, I'd recommend you go find some and enjoy. Cheers! Category: World Sports Tags: Beer
Ahhh .... PorterDecember 24, 2010 11:55 am
Here in beautiful British Columbia, we love our Okanagan Springs Porter, eh? Actually, you can't go wrong with any Okanagan Springs product, especially the India Pale Ale. We're also fortunate to be smack-dab in the middle of wine country. Few know about BC wines, but I'd put most up against any I've found in the Napa Valley. Anyway, cheers to all and here's hoping you have a safe and lovely Christmas and New Year's. Category: General Darn glad to be here ...December 21, 2010 7:58 pm
Hi kids! Next time you're in British Columbia, try some Okanagan Springs. I prefer porter, but you can't go wrong with any of it. Thank you. That is all. Category: NCAAF Tags: North Texas
